bon alors j'ai pas fini de toute écouter. Axel Red j'ai pas trouvé sur youtube.
par contre j'ai découvert avec plaisir Tegan and Sara que je ne connaissais pas. Elles sont pas mal ces deux frangines leurs voix singulières vont assez bien ensemble. Un style dynamique qui me rappelait effectivement Pascale Picard. Et pour cause, j'ai appris qu'elles étaient canadiennes. C'est Tegan qui est lesbienne ou les deux ?
Pour la chanson I know, I know, I know, j'ai lu les paroles, mais ça reste flou non ? ou alors j'ai pas capté la phrase où l'on comprends que ça parle d'homosexualité.
En tout cas merci Jess de m'avoir fait découvrir.

par conte ch'suis un peu d'accord avec Marianne pour "Lola", meme si au fond pour moi cette invertion des genres je trouve ca plutot bien vu et j'apprécie.

Oui, je suis assez d'accord. En fait, à l'époque, je pense que les gens ne faisaient pas trop la différence (ni encore aujourd'hui d'ailleurs) entre trans-genres et homosexuel-les. Là, comme c'est un type qui sort avec un type (puisqu'il dit qu'il est une homme et que Lola aussi), cette chanson a été considérée comme à thématique homosexuelle. Mais je vous accorde qu'elle aborde plus la question du genre. Et j'adoOoOore cette chanson, depuis longtemps, avant même de comprendre de quoi elle parlait !

Dans les chroniques récentes, on parle beaucoup du caractère ambigu de certaines chansons des Kinks (Dave Davies, un des guitaristes et frère du chanteur-autre guitariste-auteur-compositeur du groupe, était d'ailleurs bisuel), notamment dans "See My Friends".



"Mais de quels amis Ray Davies parle-t-il ?", ai-je souvent lu ? J'avoue que je reste dubitative.

PS : moi aussi, j'adore Robbie Williams, même si je l'ai moins suivi dernièrement. Je ne sais pas pour vous, mais je trouve que la pochette de l'album "Sing When You're Winning" a une esthétique très gay...

Grâce à "The L Word", j'ai découvert Frances Faye, chanteuse de jazz bisexuelle (que je pensais noire, pauvre de moi... je viens de découvrir des vidéos d'elle).

Voici ce qu'en dit Wikipédia :

Faye's showbiz career began at age 15 in nightclubs where she first became a star. She appeared in one Bing Crosby film; Double or Nothing singing After You. She wrote the song "Well All Right" recorded by the Andrews Sisters. Faye made her solo recording debut in 1936. Her act became famous for including double entendres and references to homosexuality and lesbianism. Faye herself was bisexual and hinted at this frequently in her act; she would often playfully alter pronouns in love songs or weave her girlfriend's name into lyrics of song. For instance, she inserted "it's a Teri, Teri day" into "The Man I Love" and on national television sang "why do all the boys treat Teri so right" in "Shimmy Like My Sister Kate."

She recorded about a dozen albums for many different record companies, including Capitol Records and Imperial Records and jazz labels Verve Records and Bethlehem Records.

Je ne retrouve pas la chanson entendue dans The L Word, "Frances And Her Friends", délicieuse^^, et plus spécifiquement, gay et lesbienne, où elle chante un truc du genre : "Je connais un gars qui s'appelle Willy, et Willy sort avec Timmy, et Timmy sort avec Nelly, et Nelly sort avec Cindy, etc.".

Mais voici "Shimmy Like My Sister Kate" citée au-dessus :



C'est une sacrée chanteuse, croyez-moi. J'ai un album live à la maison, il est excellent. Je viens de voir qu'apparemment, plusieurs autres étaient disponibles (à l'époque, je n'en avais trouvé qu'un, mais peut-être n'avais-je regardé qu'en France, quoique...).
